St. Dymphna Centre
Create a safe haven dedicated to St. Dymphna who is the patron saint of Mental illness to shelter the mentally sick persons who roam in the streets and have nowhere to call home and whose dignity is compromised by the fact that they live a non-human life in marketplaces, suffering from sexual and physical abuse from uncaring strangers.
Community Outreach
This will help through advocacy and sensitizing the community on mental health, working with organized community groups like, women groups (Chama), SACCOs or CBOs. The same will also do cooperate conferences and training on mental illnesses, causes, symptoms, treatment, handling conflicts, burnout prevention etc.
Parish Ministry
Addictions and Suicide cases are on the increase, there is a need to use the parish and its already organized ecclesiastical groups to inform and educate as many people as possible on mental health . This will be done through; Seminars, Retreats, Conferences, Talks, and support groups.
School Ministry
Give motivational talks, seminars, and conferences in schools to curb the increasing number of Drug use and abuse among students, school drop-outs, and teenage pregnancies.
Many students come from broken families and this may affect their studies, as such there is a need for psycho social support to come to terms with the situation.
